SHOW AND TELL
Lindsay Grant presents an evening of sketch, stand-up, improv and…puppets. All proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Veteran improviser and sketch comedian Lindsay Grant is doing something that scares her, for a good cause.
SHOW AND TELL will be an evening of top-notch sketch, stand-up and improv at one of Toronto’s top comedy venues, the Bad Dog Theatre. Additionally, show producer Lindsay Grant will perform the Harold – a well known long form of improvisation – alone, save for two puppets. All to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a cause that hits close to home for Grant.
“My step-father was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia last Christmas” says Grant, whose comedy credits include Lord of the Things, A Night at the Improv, and recently Toronto Goes Down, presented at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Melbourne, Australia. All proceeds of SHOW AND TELL
will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, an organization that aims to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
“Performing solo scares me” admits Grant “But if I can do something to help my family and other families going through similar situations, I don’t think I’ll feel so alone onstage”.
Rounding out the evening are Toronto comedy scene favourites Fast and Dirty, Girls Gone Funny, Death Ray Cabaret, Jenny Serwylo, Asiansploitation, and recent Canadian Comedy Award nominees, Approximately 3 Peters.
Be sure to catch SHOW AND TELL at the Bad Dog Theatre, located at 138 Danforth Ave. (just east of Broadview) on Sunday, June 29th
